Website Promotion - Writing Articles Generates Traffic Four Different Ways

    March 31st, 2008

Writing articles and submitting them to free content sites is a great way to promote your Website at no cost. This technique generates traffic for your Website in at least four different ways.

There are many different ways to promote your Website in order to generate traffic. Most of them cost money, but one of the most effective techniques is free - writing articles about topics relating to your Website and submitting them to “free content” sites. It’s easy to do, takes relatively little time, and can increase your Website traffic in at least four different ways.

The article-writing technique is simple. You write articles about topics that relate to your Website. The articles don’t have to be overly long or complicated; 250-500 words will do nicely. Then you submit them to “free content” Websites that publish them and make them available to their own readers. This helps your own Website’s traffic in four different ways:

  • Your article on the free content site contains a link to your own Website. Readers of the article may, if they choose, click on the link to pay your site a visit.
  • The free content site makes your article available to other Webmasters who may wish to publish the article on their own site. If they do, your article will include a link back to your site, and anyone who reads the article on that site may click on the link to pay your site a visit.
  • As your list of published articles grows larger, and more and more of your articles appear on different Websites, the cumulative total of links to your own Website increases. The major search engines place a lot of significance on incoming links to Websites in order to determine the “importance” of a particular Website. The more incoming links a Website has, the more “importance” a search engine attaches to it. This can substantially your Website’s placement in search results when someone searches for your Website’s topic.
  • Search engines do not just index Websites; they also index published articles! The major search engines may also index any article that you write about your own Website’s topic. When someone searches for that topic, the list of results may show your Website, as outlined above, or it may show articles you have written about the topic. Either one provides an opportunity for a visit to your Website.
  • Writing articles about your Website’s topic and submitting them to free content Websites is a tremendously cost-effective way to increase traffic to your site. Your articles get read, links to your Website get spread around the Internet, and search engines become aware of both your articles and your Website. It often takes only 15 minutes or so to write an article and just a minute or two to publish it. This time is clearly time well spent.

Halloween Fly Fishing - The Ultimate Bite

    March 31st, 2008

Halloween and fly fishing may seem like an odd mix, but not for
true anglers. Yep, I’m talking about the ultimate test of your
    abilities and nerve.

    Dracula’s River

Okay, everyone knows the story of Count Dracula. The book is
huge and has been turned into more than a few scary movies. The
one the frightened me the most was the recent edition in which
Keanu Reaves attempted to speak with an English accent. Truly
scary. Anyway, the interesting thing about Dracula is that it is
    based on a real person.

Vlad the Impaler was a nasty man by any definition. By Vlad, I
mean the Romanian Prince, not the Angels outfielder that blasts
home runs…except in the playoffs to my dismay. With a nickname
like “Impaler”, I shouldn’t have to recite his resume, but will
mention that he had a thing for long sticks with one end buried
in the ground and the other end sharpened to a point. It was
very wise to stay on his good side - “Vlad, did you lose some
    weight?” and so on.

Vlad ruled Romania during his reign and was such an enthusiast
for impaling that those in the lumber business look back upon
him with sighs of happiness. As anyone knows from the book, Vlad
had his home office at Bran Castle in the Carpathian Mountains
although he maintained branch offices in London. In fact, the
castle stands today and you can spend your hard earned tourist
money strolling about the grounds, buying fake fangs, garlic and
so on. What isn’t widely known, of course, is Bran Castle was
never the home of Vlad, who apparently didn’t care for the
overly religious décor and garlic garden in the backyard.

The true home of Vlad the Impaler is Dracula Castle, which sits
on the Arges River. The castle is not a hot tourist destination.
Perhaps this is because the only things left are a few stones
sticking out of the ground. Nonetheless, below the castle runs
    the Arges River.

Known in antiquity as the Ordessus, this is the spot where Vlad
did some of his top-notch impaling and supposedly tied a unique
fly or two. Even after all these years, the fish remain
influenced and it takes a brave angler to hit the spot.

Body armor, garlic and a shield are not typical equipment for
fly fishing. If you’re going to fish with Vlad, however, each is
a must. The fish are odd. The locals with missing fingers and
hands will fill you in. The “Impaler Pike” is known to react to
being hooked by accelerating towards the angler and leaping from
the water in the direction of one’s nether region. The Arges
Cutthroat, of course, needs no description, but the Big Macks
definitely give rise to the need for garlic. Finally, the Vlad
Muskie can be caught, but an older gentlemen with only one ear
suggested this isn’t necessarily a good thing. All and all, one
doesn’t so much catch a fish below Vlad’s castle as survive the
    experience.

You may be wondering about the best flies to use in such
circumstances. The old stand by Woolly Bugger? Perhaps a
Clauser’s Minnow? Nope. According to locals, just nip a finger,
rub the blood on a hook and off you go!

    Happy Halloween From Nomad Journals!

By the way, you really can fly fish on the Arges below Vlad’s
true castle. No armor needed, but garlic keeps the mosquitoes
    off.

    Little blood suckers.

Top Three Reasons To Get Involved At Your Child’s School

    March 31st, 2008

You may think once your child has gone off to school full-time (officially a First-Grader) that he/she no longer needs you…

You could not be more wrong…
Just consider the following three benefits of being an active part of your child’s new school life.
    1) You get to see your child more than before and after school. Whether you feel that you need this interaction or not, your child will surely appreciate it.
    2) You get to know your child’s classmates. You can better identify with who and what he/she is talking about when they come home from school.
    3) You get to meet your child’s various teachers, principals, school nurses, school secretaries etc… basically every adult who has any interaction with your child. These relationships alone can prove valuable in keeping you “in the loop” with what’s really going on at school.
If these three basic reasons are not enough to motivate you, consider this: If you are not the parent volunteer for your child’s class, somebody else will be… and thus they will know more about your child and his/her activities at school than you will. After raising and nurturing your child for the past five or six year, is this what you really want?

More Martin Luther Kings Are Needed

    March 30th, 2008

“This is homage to Martin Luther King, Jr.”

How much have we contributed to this existing world? Most or all of our paths are already taken or invented by the pioneers. Martin Luther King is one of the most prolific contributors to the field of humanity in our human world. His perspiration, courage and achievements are the milestones of human freedoms, civil rights and other mental civilizations that all of us are firmly holding as our norm. No matter how civilized our world has reached, people with heads like that of Martin Luther King are needed. This heroic man is needed based on three rationalisms.

    1. Model of no model:

Ninety-nine percent of the world’s population needs “model” to invent the similar model. Martin Luther King does not stand in the ninety-nine percent, but in the one percent of the world’s population.

There was no one before him (his model) to steer his freedom-oriented mentality. His stride for Black American’s equal rights on the land dominated by White Americans was an original human philosophy that no one before him could think of. Martin Luther King, an arch-model man!

    2. Courage:

With no prosperous family background and other sturdy foundations, Martin Luther King dares to initiate the first and absolutely risky vocations.

During his time, the United States of America was not as civilized as today: segregated schools, legal loopholes to guarantee equal rights and accesses between Black and White Americans and other ethnic groups, unsophisticated American mentalities and other human rights mechanisms to protect the good-faith civil-right activists like Martin Luther King. Never got discouraged by these plights, King still strides for equal rights for all human as what stated in social-contract theory of Jean-Jacque Rousseau.

Incarceration, quantity support and other promising backgrounds are not the reasons that make King accept the status quo of materialism and idealism inequalities.

    3. Achievements

To what extent King’s perspiration has brought to the soil of America and the world? The abolition of school segregations, America’s today heroic image of international human-right actor, international human right instruments and even other philosophical contributions to the world after his death, are the achievements that enable us to feel for “tomorrow.”

His death caused by assassination is the wonderful regret, because we do not know would such a head be born again, but this never discourage me to follow this model. More Martin Luther Kings are needed for a more promising and desirable world.

Wring this article, the author has come up with an antonym: Money Vs Humanity.

Lay Vicheka’s quotes on Martin Luther King:

    “A symbol of humanity”
    “A model without model”
“An element that is the scarcest in this world”
    “An archetype of idealism”
“A man who never waits for tomorrow”
“Perspiration is the achievement path for Martin Luther King”
    “A true philosopher”
    “A model for me”
