How to Train Your Memory by playing Scrabble?

    May 27th, 2008

Scrabble, besides being a game that needs skills in strategy, it
also calls for good memory to win the game.

Therefore, this word game can be used to help improve one’s
    memory.

As you know very well, the key to the achieving of high points
in this game is by forming words that contain a specified
letter, such as “q” or “z”.

To train your memory, try to remember the words contain the
    letter.

As tips, to make it easier, try to associate the word with
something, such as your experience, friend, favorite movie, etc.

For example, to remember the word ‘quiescent’, you can associate
it with one of your friend, who is quite by nature.

You can apply this technique to remember things in your daily
    life.

Another technique, which is my favourite to remember a list, is
by combining the words together. For example, to remember some
words which begin with ‘z’, try to memorize this sentence:

“The zany zebra in the zoo runs zigzag zealously and meets
    zookeper, zoologist and zoombie.”

Notice that by combining them, at least you have memorized eight
    words that contain ‘z’ letter.

A research showed that memory can also be improved by doing
light activities that stimulate thinking power. The examples of
    such activities include playing scrabble.

Scrabble, as you know, needs a right strategy to win. Besides
having to think about your next move, you also have to think to
    block up your opponent’s move.

Concentrate better so your memory will improve more.

    Happy playing this exciting game…

When Do you Think is the Greatest Point to Include Sex Aids Into Long Term Relationship?

    May 26th, 2008

Sexual aids will probably be difficult to add into a relationship. Some individuals might often notice the introduction of sex toys into a relationship scary & it might well bring up questions such as “why do we need sex toys”? However vibrating toys might be a wonderful & satisfying affair and vibrating toys also help to build lust between you & your girlfriend.

Figuring out which sex toy to choose might often be an adventure. A time where you and your boyfriend can sit down and chat about what you both want out of the event and choose a sex toy together that meets both of your needs. Please do not just go straight in for the big colossal sex toys, start off easily.

Once both of you have chosen a vibrator & have had the bliss of seeing your new sexual toy you and your partner need to set the seductive mood. Candles and soft music are the perfect platform to just start off any sexual experience. Make the time special, unplug the TV, turn off the DVD player & concentrate fully on your boyfriend. Extensive sensual stimulation before bringing out the sex play toy is a generous idea. Soft and loving strokes increases the sensations and helps towards a very relaxing & enjoyable event.

And please do not forget to relax, have loads of fun and enjoy it. If you like dildos you should try it with your favourite Anal Toys.

Improve Your Relationships By Loving Yourself

    May 26th, 2008

Many of us, especially women, tend to put others’ needs before our own. We neglect ourselves and eventually resent those who have been on the receiving end of our love and attention. What we fail to realize is the importance of putting ourselves first. No, it is not selfish. In fact, it’s impossible to meet the needs of others effectively without first being balanced in our own lives. Loving yourself will not only prove to be a positive experience, but it will improve your relationships with others as well.

If we go through our days neglecting our basic needs, we will become very quickly drained of our energy, too exhausted to spend any time on ourselves. When we realize that our own needs are not being met, we become resentful and ultimately withdraw the help and support we so freely offered to others before. However, by focusing on putting ourselves first, we can regain that lost energy, which will give us endless vitality to direct toward others.

Loving and taking better care of yourself is easy if you implement one or more of the simple helpful tips and ideas listed here. When we are happy with the level of attention we are giving ourselves, our energy overflows and we are anxious to help fulfill the needs of those around us. Everyone wins when we learn to love ourselves. Use the following tips to get you started:

Live a healthy lifestyle - How can we expect to accomplish great things if we cannot meet life’s most basic needs? Eat healthy by replacing excess sugar and refined foods with whole foods and lots of water. Give your body the ability to effectively burn the fuel you take in by getting daily exercise, thereby increasing your metabolism. Make sure to get plenty of sleep as well, as our minds do not fully function if they haven’t been allowed to properly recharge themselves.

Express yourself - One of the best ways to take care of ourselves mentally is by frequently expressing how we feel. This can be done in several ways. Mentally, we can express ourselves on paper. Keeping a personal journal in which you can vent when needed will help keep emotions in check. Creative expression is important too, such as allowing yourself to feel and experience the wide range of emotions in a rented movie, or by working on a hobby that’s close to your heart. Photography and other visual arts are good for this. Remember, expressing ourselves creatively is as important as doing so mentally.

Spend some time alone - In order to appreciate ourselves more, we should get to know ourselves better. Some of you may think this will have the reverse effect, but think positively! You would be surprised what becoming introspective will reveal. Discover yourself and learn to love it. Go for a scenic drive. Take a long bath. Surround yourself with music or just quietly meditate. Not only will you appreciate your own company more, but the relaxation will do wonders for your state of mind. Your relationships are sure to improve if others sense your renewed energy and love of life.

Pamper yourself - Finally, take the time to treat yourself to something rewarding. Get a massage, a manicure, or tickets to your favorite sporting event. Show yourself you care about your own happiness by creating more of it in your life. By allowing yourself to enjoy the spotlight now and again, you’ll realize the goodness others feel when you are able to help them.

Finding the Perfect Part-Time Home Business

    May 25th, 2008

The Internet has created a whole new era that’s added incredible
flexibility to business. Through an affiliate program, you can
now have all the power of a dynamic, global company at your
backing and still run it from the computer in your bedroom.

Or, you can waste a bunch of money on hyped up programs that
    will gain you nothing whatsoever.

Having said that, do you want to know how to find the right
    program?

The following points will focus on finding a program that can be
handled on a part-time basis and still have unlimited earning
potential. That’s not to say that the same program can’t be
worked full time or simultaneously with other programs. That, of
course, depends on each individual’s desires.

Consider the following aspects when looking into affiliate
    programs.

TWO TYPES — Simple and Dynamic

Simple programs usually involve the sale of just one item or
group of items such as ebooks. With these, the important things
to look for are legitimate, worthwhile products, and a good
sales site. As long as what you will be selling is really
something you recommend and view as valuable, these simple
programs can be great. However, you want them to have good,
compelling sales copy on the site that moves visitors smoothly
along to the order button. These may or may not last as income
producers, but can be profitable for at least short term.

Dynamic programs contain more aspects and are ones that usually
last longer and can build you better residual income. Consider
the following points when investigating them.

    LEAD GENERATION

Basically speaking, your job in any affiliate program is
advertising. To be successful, you must continually get new
people to visit the web site or sites of the program you are
working. The first thing to look for in a good program, however,
is what happens with the people you do get to visit the site.

There must be some sort of system in place to retain site
visitors and to credit them to you. That means getting people’s
names and email addresses and keeping them in a database showing
that they visited the site through your link.

Take a look at what the program does to get this information
from people. Does it offer further information by auto responder
or in print? Does it offer an ezine? Does it offer product
giveaways or contests? There must be a system in place, and
preferably more than one, to get contact information from
visitors in order to follow up, especially if there is a fair
sized price tag on the company’s products or for joining in the
    business.

This makes your initial marketing more effective by working
harder on the site visitors you get.

FOLLOW UP AND ENCOURAGING REPEAT BUYING

Follow up is critical for any business, and what your company
practices in terms of following up is especially critical if you
only want to work part time. In a traditional MLM, you are the
one who needs to follow up leads. In a good affiliate program,
however, your company should do this for you. Does the company
promise to send out follow up information to leads generated?
Also, does the company stay in touch with those that have made
    purchases and encourage repeat buying?

If you only plan to work a few hours per week on a business,
those hours need to be spent on advertising for new customers or
prospects. Following up and ‘getting the sale’ is too time
    consuming to be done quickly.

    SUPPORT

Another aspect to consider is the handling of support functions.
When people buy products, will they be looking to you if they
have problems or want a refund? A good company will handle all
of that for you. Also, support should be provided for those you
refer to the business as well. It always pays to help your
downline build their business, but again, this is not easily
done on a few hours per week. Consider how the company provides
support for both you and your downline.

    PRODUCTS and MARKET

Another aspect of obvious concern is the actual products you
will be advertising. Is there only one package that is involved
with people signing up to the program, or are there other
products as well? If there are more products to be sold, that
just gives you more ways to make profits. As well, it gives you
more to work with in your advertising. Consider what the company
provides to potential customers. This is really what your
advertising must be based on. Essentially, the more there is to
the program, the more there is to work with.

Naturally, there must be a market for the products. Is there
room for expansion in the market the products fall under? Is
there a lot of competition or does the company have a good,
    unique line?

    CONCLUSION

The bottom line is the more the company does with and offers to
the prospects you send it, the better you will do. You need to
be able to focus as solely as possible just on advertising. In
looking for a solid part-time money maker, consider these
factors, what you have time to do or are willing to do, and then
    make your decision from there.

The perfect program will not be the same for everyone, but at
least this information will get you thinking as to what is right
    for you.

Trying to Select the Best Attorney?

    May 25th, 2008

Have you asked the potential lawyer that will represent your case about their experience handling cases like your own? Studies show that when attorneys handle more cases that are similar, they gain valuable insight and experience that can’t come just from an education.

Finding an attorney with experience doesn’t have to be hard. Ask the questions about it when you interview them, or talk to the attorney for the first time. Ask them about the worst cases they’ve handled like your situation and the best. Ask them what new laws may have been passed, or which cases have been heard that have changed the laws concerning the case. This gives you an insider’s view of what the attorney knows and can provide to you.

Generally, attorneys are all too willing to talk about their past cases, including the range of unique situations that have happened. Allowing them to talk about how they’ve handled those cases, can help you to see how they will handle your own. Just like interviewing for a job, attorneys expect you to ask them questions to get to know them well. To find qualified attorneys like this, and to learn more check out the following website at Lawyers Compared.

    Bathroom cabinets

    May 24th, 2008

Bathroom cabinets, also known as “vanities”, are manufactured in several different styles (colonial, traditional, Mediterranean, Spanish and the modern or contemporary styles). Different kinds of moisture-resistant raw materials are used, including Oak wood, walnut, ash, birch or ponderosa pine, which are later provided with different kinds of finish (finishing can be done using oak, rose, ebony, white, walnut, cherry or birch). You can either get wall cabinets, linen cabinets or over-the-toilet bowl space-savers installed. Bathroom wall cabinets add more storage space to your bathroom. You can get a corner linen cabinet installed (which uses up the unused space between 2 adjoining walls), to place your towels, bathrobes, toiletries and bath accessories in a neat and tidy manner.

You must carefully plan the placement of the bathroom cabinets after selecting the appropriate model, color and material that fit your criteria and liking. You can either hire a carpenter, request a plumber or take the help of a professional for the installation job or do-it-yourself. Installation of the cabinets must be done using screws instead of hanging the entire cabinet frame on nails, as this can be risky and even lead to accidents. While installing, start from the corner unit and then add each additional unit, holding it in place firmly with the help of clamps, until the entire unit is fixed tightly with appropriate screws. However, before installation, ensure that the floor or walls of the site of installation are free from ruptures or unevenness, as this can greatly interfere with the fixtures.

When You Give A Gift, It’s The Thought That Counts, Right?

    May 24th, 2008

It’s a no-no to tell someone you don’t like their gift because
it’s the thought that counts, right?

Sure, but just how ‘nice’ are your thoughts towards your gift
giver who doesn’t listen in order to know what your likes and
dislikes are? How disappointed are you when with anticipation
you unwrap your gift to stare down at an ugly pair of socks, or
when your husband of four years decides his wife would
absolutely love a broom for Valentines Day?

Gift giving is more than just the thought. It’s the thought, the
gift, the intention - the whole package. The best gifts are ones
that directly think of the recipient, that’s truly when the
    thought counts.

If you know your boyfriend will just about die for the whole
collection of South Park, then why buy him a tie? What value
would your girlfriend find in a pretty package of art supplies
when she has no interest in painting?

We’ve devoted a whole page on our website with “Horror Gifts”
    Received.

Take for example the man who received a box of chocolates from
his girlfriend who should have known that he was allergic to it.
Or the man whose girlfriend gave him tickets to a show he didn’t
    want to see.

When it comes to your loved ones, gifts shouldn’t be given out
of obligation but from the heart. Gifts that are appreciated can
be practical or they can be impractical. This depends on what
your recipient wants or would like.

When I was at college I really needed a text book on C
programming. I kept borrowing a copy from the library but there
were times when they were all taken. At that time, I couldn’t
afford to buy one for myself. How would I have loved a text book
as opposed to the sterling silver bracelet my then boyfriend
gave me? It was a lovely gesture but…

To find the perfect gift, we have to tune into that person.
Listen to what they have to say. Did you watch the Friends
episode where Ross bought Rachel the broche she had seen in a
shop window some months ago? What’s what I mean by tuning in.
Find what the person wants and then give it to them. That’s when
    the thought really counts.

You know when you have done a good job with your gift selection
when you absolute astonish your recipient.

There are times when we don’t know what our recipient would
like. There are ’safe gifts’ we can give. Safe gifts are
flowers, a gift basket perhaps, even a bottle of wine -
something that is popularly considered ‘nice’. Safe gifts are
what we give people we don’t’ know too well. From someone that
has been disappointed many times and astonished others, if you
are to give, listen to what your recipient wants. You will find
they will treasure you and your gesture 100 fold.

Copywriting for Non-Copywriters: Use Headlines to Select Your Audience

    May 24th, 2008

    May 23, 2006

I’m guessing you’re interested in copywriting, but don’t consider yourself a copywriter.

If I’m correct, don’t go thinking I’m psychic. I simply used my article title (which acts like a headline) to select an audience of non-copywriters interested in copywriting. You can use headlines to select your audience too.

WHY USE HEADLINES TO SELECT YOUR AUDIENCE?

If someone is your audience, you have something they want. So the sooner you communicate to them that “this copy is for you,” the sooner they’ll dive into your message. From there, if your copy is good, hopefully they’ll respond to it (e.g., buy your product, sign up for your service, etc.).

And if someone isn’t your audience, well, life’s too short to waste it reading something that isn’t going to do anything for you. So do your readers a favor - use your headline to tell them if they’re your audience or not.

HOW DO YOU USE HEADLINES TO SELECT YOUR AUDIENCE?

Always make sure your headline is specific enough to indicate what your copy is about. Let’s look at some examples:

    “Are You Tired?”

Too vague. It’s unclear whether the copy that follows this headline will be about a new mattress, sleeping pills, or a tropical vacation. If you force your readers to read your copy to find out if it contains something they value, it’s likely they’ll simply skip to the next headline instead. Let’s give it another shot…

    “Having Trouble Sleeping?”

Better. It’s narrowed the potential audience to those with sleep problems. But the copy that follows could still be about a mattress or sleeping pills. Let’s try again…

“Does Your Mattress Give You The Ultimate Sleep?”

Okay. Now our headline selects our audience: people that feel their mattress compromises their sleep. If your readers relate to that headline, they’ll read your copy; if they don’t relate, they won’t.

Either way, you’ve crafted a headline that selects your audience. And that’s enough for now. Stay tuned for more later.

Hello from Ottawa - The Lord Elgin Hotel - A Historic Landmark in the Heart of Ottawa

    May 24th, 2008

As far as travel to Ottawa is concerned, you’d be hard pressed to find a more central lodging location than the Lord Elgin Hotel. It is located right at the Intersection of Elgin and Laurier Streets, just steps away from Parliament Hill, the War Memorial, the Chateau Laurier, the Government Conference Centre and the National Arts Centre. Confederation Park, one of the main locations for Winterlude, is located right across the street.

We could not have found a better spot for our Ottawa Winterlude getaway last weekend. My room on the 4th floor was very comfortable and I had a perfect view out over Elgin Street, looking at the Chateau Laurier and the War Memorial on one side, and facing Confederation Park and the Rideau Canal on the other. We literally left our car parked for the whole 2 days and were able to get everywhere we wanted on foot.
The Lord Elgin was a perfect starting point for our adventures on the Rideau Canal, and our excursions to the ByWard Market and Sparks Street. Further south on Elgin Street is another major entertainment area nestled inside an established neighbourhood with exclusive homes and condominiums.

Ann Meelker from the Lord Elgin Hotel was kind enough to give me a lay of the land and pointed out the local landmarks. She also explained to me that the National Conference Centre actually used to be a railroad station many years ago, when train tracks were routed right next to the Rideau Canal.

My big interest in this hotel was its history as it was constructed more than 60 years ago. So I did some reserach to dig into the background of this historic building.

In 1940, as the Second World War brought more and more official visitors into town, Ottawa found itself desperately short of hotel accommodation. A local entrepreneur and city alderman by the name of Chester Pickering, President of Dustbane, Modern Building Cleaning, and Michael’s Industrial Equipment, was entrusted with the job of bringing a good hotel to the City. He connected with Jack Udd, a wealthy businessman from Rochester, New York, the president of the Ford Hotel Chain.

They were looking for a suitable site for the hotel and finally found one in an abandoned lot at the corner of Elgin and Laurier. However, obtaining the land was complicated by the fact that it was owned by the federal government.

It seemed highly unlikely that this land could be obtained from the government, but through personal connections and various outright shenanigans Chester Pickering was able to get the property. Chester Pickering knew that then Prime Minister Mackenzie King longed to make Ottawa the most attractive capital in the world, so he was sure that the idea of cleaning up this run-down area would appeal to the Prime Minister.

And not only did Pickering get the land, he also got a low-cost tax assessment on it, in light of the fact that government had not been receiving any taxes on this federally owned property at all before. With all the conditions met, Jack Udd started building the hotel and Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King even laid the cornerstone. The Lord Elgin was completed in 1941 in a classical French chateau style at a cost of about C$1,500,000.
All throughout Prime Minister Mackenzie King took a strong interest in the hotel and virtually designed the pillars in front of the hotel himself. He also insisted that the hotel be built of stone, not brick. Jack Udd agreed on a compromise and used stone at both ends and in the front, but he would put brick in the back.

The hotel is named after James Bruce, 8th Earl of Elgin and 12th Earl of Kincardine (1811 to 1863) who became Governor General of Canada in 1847. He became the first Governor General to remove himself from the affairs of the legislature, which led to the essentially symbolic role that the Governor-General of Canada has today.
Ann also allowed me to have a look at some correspondence between Prime Minister Mackenzie King and the grandson of the original Lord Elgin, who donated two marble busts of his grandparents, Lord and Lady Elgin. The correspondence dates back to 1940 and talks about shipping the busts on warships during World War II from Scotland to Canada.

Ann also mentioned that during the summer a portion of the Changing of the Guards ceremony can be seen directly outside the hotel. And the starting line for the Ottawa International Marathon is located immediately in front of the Lord Elgin Hotel.
Being the nosy person that I am I wanted to get the real low-down on this property and Randy Battcock, Guest Services Manager at the Lord Elgin, agreed to take me on a tour through the property. Randy is an interesting individual himself, he hails from Newfoundland and worked for a local airline for 21 years. After running a guest house in Ottawa for 8 years he applied for the Guest Manager’s position and got the job the next day. It is obvious that Randy loves what he does.

During our tour through the building, Randy explained that the original building was H-shaped and that the back was filled in many years ago to enlarge the rooms. In some of the boardrooms on the higher levels you can still see the former street faade on the west side, now forming an inside wall.
Two 8-storey towers were added on the north and south side and they added 55 additional bedrooms, an inground pool and a restaurant. Another little known fact is that there is a 3 bedroom apartment on the 12th floor which to this day is the residence of the former manager of the hotel who spent 50 years managing the hotel and raised his children there. The apartment has the only patio in the building with a perfect view east towards the Rideau Canal.

Randy also enlightened me that of the four guest elevators, two are original and date all the way back to 1941. The fourth elevator used to be a smokestack for the furnace in the basement, but it was dismantled bit by bit to allow for the construction of an additional elevator. The building still has an original functioning mail chute where you can drop your letters from any floor and gravity will take them to the mailroom from where they will be sent out.
Although the Lord Elgin Hotel is one of the most renowned and venerable institutions in Ottawa, it has a cozy feel to it. During my stay it was hosting hundreds of people who were attending Winterlude, so you saw all these families with children dressed up in heavy winter garb walking through the hallways. I had several friendly chats with staff members, and in particular with one young bellman who was part of the Lord Elgin team in the 26th Annual Bedzz Race on Dow Lake.

The spot in front of the fireplace in the lobby was always taken by people relaxing, reading a paper, or conversing while warming up after a cold day. We noticed that the atmosphere was always relaxed and down-to-earth, never snobbish, as you might expect of a hotel of this stature. For us it was the perfect location for a weekend of exploration in Canada’s capital.

The best suite of Traffic Tips

    May 23rd, 2008

    Are traffic tips important?…

Just think: someone told you that if you aren’t on Internet, you
don’t exist. So you started reading about how to create a web
page or you hired an expensive designer and finally, you are the
owner of Internet’s most awesome web page about your product.

    That’s fine! But…

Who’s going to find your web page among other 3.000 million web
    pages?

It doesn’t matter if you have a home made web page or a
professional expensive made web page. People won’t find you
unless you start attracting traffic to your web page.

Suppose for a moment that you have succeeded and you start
receiving 1000 hits per week in your web page, is that good
    enough?

Well it depends… If you where receiving zero, 1000 looks
pretty good to start, but the key question is. Do you just
receive 1000 hits of ANY kind of people or 1000 TARGETED hits.

By Targeted Hits I mean people who’s looking for what you are
offering. And believe me the key to an easy home business is to
    get TARGETED visitors.

There are many different ways to attract targeted visitor to
    your web page:

Search Engines Directories Links from other web sites Off-line
media Word of mouth e-mail signatures Usenet Newsgroups
Unsolicited e-mail Banners Opt-in mailing lists Ezines Why did I
use different colors, just to point the difference between the:
Good Never use Not so good

Lets have a brief description of each one of them…

    SEARCH ENGINES & DIRECTORIES

As you probably know 80% of the sales usually come from 20% of
the promoting effort, and with Search Engines this numbers
    usually are 90% - 10 %.

So, to have a good traffic wave, you will use a lot of different
means of promotion, but 90 % of it will come from Search Engines
and Directories; so they are the back bone of the Internet
marketing, and here is where you have to apply your biggest
effort to do the things in the right way.

And the best part of it is that they are a free!

    LINKS FROM OTHER WEB SITES

You can get links to your web page from two different sources:

*Search Engines: when your potential visitor asks for
information about one of your main keywords, the Search Engine
will show your web address link in their results. This will
result in a visitor to your web site IF you are listed in the
first 20 web addresses shown, people very rarely go after the
    first 20 results

*Other sites: every good marketer is interested in providing
good content to their customers, because if they like the
content of their web pages, they’ll keep on returning for more
information. So other sites might point to your web page if they
consider that’s a good information to give to their customers

    OFF-LINE MEDIA

There are many off line ways to generate traffic to your site:
*Printed media *TV *Direct mail *Telemarketing scripts
*Stationary *Flyers *Catalogs *Billboards *Blimps *News releases
to targeted media *Business cards. *Etc.

I told you above that the first and best way to attract targeted
visitors to your web page is through Search Engines and
Directories, well… the second best way to attract visitors to
your web site is to write an article for a magazine or newspaper
    that reaches your targeted market.

And why is this so important? Because if an important magazine
or newspaper shows an article written by YOU, there is an
implied endorsement from them. Their customers believe in them,
and if they show YOUR article the customers feel they should
    believe in YOU.

    WORD OF MOUTH

Word of mouth will cost you nothing and that makes it a very
cost-effective way of attracting targeted customers. What could
be better than a real person’s testimony? But it isn’t easy to
    get.

Why is people going to talk about you?

They will only talk about you and refer you if your offer them
extremely good content, and if you treat them as if they where
    your only customer!

    E-MAIL SIGNATURES

Very easy to create and free too!

This is a very powerful and legal way to attract targeted
customers because every time you write an e-mail to one of your
    customers they see it.

And it becomes a strong way of promotion if you write to
newsgroups, mailing lists, or any other place where many people
    will see it.

E-mail signatures are a combination of a business card and PS it
should be located at the end of all your e-mail, and are the
second most important part of any sales letter.

    USENET NEWSGROUPS

We must distinguish between two kind of Newsgroups, Forums and
    Mailing lists

*Loosely regulated groups: Where anyone can write about
anything. Yes you will be able to put your add here, but as
anyone can, they are flooded and scarcely anyone pays much
    attention to the

*Serious groups: That will have strict self-enforced rules.
Write any commercial stuff to them and you’ll be flamed. Here
you have to build a relationship with the group, honestly
participate in their discussions and they won’t care if your
include your e-mail signature, but don’t try to fool them. They
will insult you or you’ll get banned or both.

As a matter of fact, unless your product or service and the
Newsgroups topic have a perfect fit, it’s better not to use
them. You will have to read everyone’s postings everyday, and
contribute regularly to get a small response and a lot of spam.

    UNSOLICITED E-MAIL

If you send un-targeted e-mail to anyone, and don’t provide your
name, reply e-mail address and a way to be removed, that’s named
    spam

My advice is no to use it, not only for moral issues, but
because it doesn’t work, you will end loosing your ISP, your web
sites and hours of hard work.

A different thing is to write to targeted lists of people that
have specifically accepted to receive your e-mail. (Although
most of them accept your e-mail because they want to receive
some free gift offered to tempt them, and so are a low motivated
    un-targeted market)

    BANNERS

Lets be direct: how many times do YOU click over a banner?

A banner to be of any use has to be: *Very well designed to
produce high impact *It has to be animated to catch attention
*It has to load quickly *It should be at the top or the bottom
of the page to get best results *It better be the only one on
the site *They are too expensive for most of the companies

That you read about a banner exchange program that’s free. Don’t
dream about it. It’s never free, it will cost you A LOT of
money, because although someone MIGHT click over your banner
that’s shown in other site, when a targeted prospect that’s
browsing YOUR site, clicks over the exchange banner, you can say
good bye to your prospect. And that’s a lot of money!

    OPT-IN MAILING LISTS

This is a good selling method! Because only targeted people will
opt-in to your mailing list, BUT although opt-ins allow you to
create a relationship with a targeted prospect that when they
start trusting you, in many cases will by from you, this is a
long term relationship, and here we are talking of TRAFFIC
    developers.

This is NOT a good way to develop traffic, is a good way to
develop sales in the long term

    EZINES

Same as with opt-ins, this is a long term sales source, not a
    traffic developer.
